SCRIBEpost!!!

Sorry I couldn't make the post yesterday! My internet got cut... To make up for that I'll do the post for yesterday and today!!!

MARCH.23.2006
At the beginning of yesterdays class, we reviewed what we learned 2 days ago.
=D don't steal it!!!;3

We tried to see that if you add how many triangles are in a shape, they make the total degrees of that shape. We did this by continuing the table we started 2 days ago....
Here's an example of the table:

=D!!!don't steal it!!!;3

As you can see there are some flaws to this rule... We figured it out today...

After a few minutes we did a quiz.

When everyone was done, we watched a video on the smartboard about measuring angles. It reviewed about how much some angles measured:

Acute - under 90º <>

MARCH.24.2006

Today at math we finished off the table for the greedy triangle. My table looked like this:

=D!!!don't steal!!!;3

We figured out the formula to solve the sum of all the angles in a shape without having to use a protractor to measure them all.

n=amount of sides in the shape
(n-2) x 180º=

I'll give you an example:
[] <---pretend that's and octagon
This shape has 8 sides so n=8
(n - 2) x 180º = (8-2) x 180º = 6 x 180º = 1080º
Therefore, the sum of the all the angles in that shape equal 1080º. If you're confused about anything I have written so far...Leave a comment to this post.

Near the end of class, Mr. Reece introduced us to a Japanese mind game called SUDOKU. If you want to know more, go to this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudoku.
That's all we did in class today.
the next scribe is: MARJO TALASTAS!!!! (sorry! i didn't know who to pick!!!)
